Delhi got an outbreak and it’s Dengue .People mainly from Jamia Nagar , Okhla , Shaheen Bag area are being effected .Daily lots of people are being effected with the fatal disease. The amount of effected people are increasing day by day . It may effect in your city too .So be careful and make others conscious.
“Once I got Dengue and I was just going to die”
says Rahul kashyap .He says “ It was 2007 , I got Dengue .It was a fatal effect on my health .I got high fever and I used Paracetamols .But it did nothing . I got 101-102.5 º F continuously during these days. At last I went for blood test .The report was horrible . I was loosing Platelets count. I got Malina .Malina is a Medical term means black stool .I used to smoke that time .When I was effected with the fatal fever ,I couldn’t smoke . I felt a different smell when I tried to smoke .I couldn’t move my eyes .I felt pain . I had pain in all my joints .I could not even eat a single biscuit ”
He continues ,” My first blood test showed that I had total 51,000 platelets what generally should have been 2,00,000 -2,50,000 .Platelets help us in clotting of blood and I was loosing it .I went for a second blood test – The report was more horrible .Platelet counts went down to 45,000. I was just going to die.
At last I got cured after a specific treatment .”
He continues ,
“Doctors advised me to do few things .They advised me to avoid hot foods as possible as I could .Hot foods and liquid effects on human body as poison during this time .
- They advised me not to take fruits which might cause acidic effects.
- I was advised to sleep in a mosquito net for not to spread the disease in others .
- I was advised for a total bed rest”
When Rahul was asked how he got the disease he simply blamed himself. He said It was totally my fault .I wasn’t conscious .I had left using mosquito nets .I had never checked my flower vases and I used to forget to change water regularly. Until we are not conscious outbreak is certain .
He says , “ We are the most civilized living beings in the earth .Why won’t we be a little bit conscious ?We should organize a road rally to increase consciousness in people. “
He continues ,
“A slogan “Kill Aedes Aegypti ” is enough for it .Govt should take different policies .Awareness in public can be increased through TV , NEWS PAPERS , FM CHANNELS and with ROAD RALLIES. Approaching door to door may be a better way. If we keep our locality clean We need not blame others.”
