Goddess Durga is on the way to Kailash and when she moves , she leaves its impact on human minds and this thing was greatly visible at Judges ghat in Kolkata on Friday evening . 8-80 , people of all age ranges gathered in that area to view the immersion process .

Like every year , kolkata Police has declared the last date of Durga Idol immersion and for this year it has been decided October 8,2011 . On October 7, so many Durga idols were brought there for immersion .
Some police men were seen to search railway tracks and contiguous areas near Judges ghat with metal detectors & with dogs from bomb squad to ensure more security during the festive time.

Some watch towers have been set up in the whole area to watch people. Wherever you see , you can see volunteers , police men and KMC workers busy to manage the crowd. On the footpath , KMC workers were seen to dump wooden structures of Durga idols collecetd from the river , Ganges .
To keep the Ganges pollution free , some places have been set up temporarily so that flowers and things used in pujas are kept there to be taken by KMC later .
