Vitamin Oils freely Provided by State Government Hospitals Unavailable in West Bengal : Children Growing Up With Blind Future

Kolkata , November 17,2011 : Generally children are given Vitamin oils to prevent night-blindness and other diseases and these oils are freely provided by the state governments. A recent study shows that all these vitamin oils are unavailable in so many government hospitals now-a-days in West Bengal and the same scene was also visible in Dr. B.C.Roy Polio Clinic and Children Hospital which is situated at Beleghata near ID hospital in kolkata.
When the stuffs of B.C.Roy Polio Clinic and Children Hospital were asked about the availability of the vitamin oils , they replied that there wasn’t enough supply from the state government and they could not say when it would be available again . They advised to visit the hospital on each Wednesday to get the news whether the oils are available .
However , these oils are given on the basis of a special interval of six months and so many kids didn’t get the oils in timely matter . Some parents were seen worried about their children in the hospital .
